Friends Together prepares online auction
ALPENA, Mich.– Friends Together’s gearing up for a unique auction this week.
Going once, going twice, sold! Friends of the cancer support organization donated over a hundred items for a digital auction.
The items range from themed baskets for kids to homemade crafts to passes on the Mackinac ferry.
Fundraising coordinator Shelly Gibbs explains how it works.
“To be a part of the auction, you go to biddingowl.com/friendstogether and then you’ll sign in and you’ll give them your cell phone number. And it’s really easy. You can go and bid on anything you want. If you’re outbid, you will get a text message to alert you that you’ve been outbid. That gives you the opportunity to go back in and up your bid.”
The auction starts on Wednesday, April 22 and ends Thursday, April 29.
Winners can pick up their prizes the day after the auction at Thunder Bowl Lanes.
