The Foster Closet of Michigan Alpena County Branch would like to thank the community for their generous donations.
The closet, which is a nonprofit organization helping out foster parents, and licensed relative care givers…providing them with various items including clothing, furniture, car seats and more.
The closet recently received a donation by the DaVita Alpena Dialysis Center. They also received a check last month by the Northern Collision and Auto Repair.
Alpena Branch Coordinator Lorilee McGee said they are thankful for the generosity from the community.
“It’s great! I love it when people call me out of the blue and they say ‘we would like to donate to the foster closet. We believe in your vision and how can we help.’ It’s just exciting we’ve got such an overwhelming response from the community it’s such a blessing to live with such caring people,” McGee said.
The Foster Closet Alpena Branch will be hosting a sorting day Saturday to organize items received by donations.
Anyone who wants to participate can come to the closet located beside Thunder Bowl Lanes from 10 am until 3 pm.
