First robotic-assisted knee replacement performed in Midland
MIDLAND, Mich. – MidMichigan Health in Midland is continuing to expand their services and technologies. The hospital recently performed its first ever robotic–assisted knee replacement surgery.
According to the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, knee replacement surgeries are expected to increase by 180 percent between now and 2030. MidMichigan will be prepared and ready for the future demand.
According to medical doctors at the facility, this type of robotic procedure produces a quicker recovery time, is a natural fit and even allows for 3–d digital modeling.
