Fifth Down Highlights Week Two
ALPENA, Mich. — Week 2 of High School Football is complete in Northeast Michigan, with all of our local teams in action except one- Oscoda had the week off.
Starting with Thursday night games in 11-man football, Alpena lost to Cheboygan 28-18, and Tawas lost to Sault St. Marie 42-0.
In 8-man, Mio beat Hillman 12-0. Alcona lost to Merrill 20-12, and Onaway beat Bellaire 73-0. Au Gres Sims scored 50 again, this time beating Whittemore Prescott 50-12.
On Friday, Johannesburg Lewiston lost to Elk Rapids 48-28. In 8-man football, Rogers City beat Brimley by a score of 42-0. Atlanta beat Posen in a close one, 8-6, and Hale fell to Pellston 36-12.
