Farmers’ Market offers easy sports sign-up
ALPENA, Mich. — If you’re trying to sign your kid up for sports or clear out some old items, you may want to visit the Farmers’ Market this weekend.
Saturday, the market hosts its annual grow sports day. The event allows parents and kids to check out different sports for the upcoming school year, and even sign up if they want. The morning also features a rummage sale open to anyone, so long as they pay the registration fee.
Market director JB Cook told WBKB that the day is very useful for busy families.
The market will have a donation area for used sporting goods. Additionally, booth registration fees for the rummage sale will support local sports.
