Family Preps for Annual Fundraiser ‘Sam’s Gift’
On September 7th, 2014 16-year-old Samantha Lyn Schrader lost her life in a tragic car accident.
Instead of mourning her death, her family decided to honor Sam by helping out other teens with their future college careers paying for students tuition while attending Alpena Community College.
Taking a walk down memory lane, one of Sam’s best friends said she was encouraged to take her talents and continue her own education, and to make sure that Sam will be present during this weekend’s event, her aunt keeps her niece’s spirit alive with a memory bear.
The Sam’s Gift fundraiser will be held once again at Thunder Bowl Lanes from noon until 5 pm this Saturday.
