F.O.P. brings music and laughs

ALPENA, Mich.– The Fraternal Order of Police will be hosting a full evening of entertainment Saturday night.

Doors at the Aplex will open at 6:00 P.M. for “FOP Night.” The show, which evolved from the policeman’s ball, was originally scheduled for April, and is meant to celebrate Alpena’s retired police officers.

Norm Sommerfeld, manager of the Aplex, said they have a strong line–up.

“We have a local guitar player, Tim St. John, from 6:00 to 7:00. From 7:00 to 8:30 is our two comedians, Headliner Steve Iott from the Kalamazoo area. And then from 9:00 to 11:00, we’ll have two impressionists from Detroit.”

Admission at the doors will be $10.00, with a maximum attendance of 250 people.

Masks will be required for entry.
