Early snow showers Wednesday; Then warmer Thursday

Skies have cleared out today and Northeast Michigan enjoyed some afternoon sunshine. The incoming system is producing snow showers over Minnesota and South Dakota; this will move east and provide snow showers tomorrow morning and midday in our area.

Michigan has seen a wide range temperatures today. Highs reached 51 degrees in Saginaw, 39 in Alpena and 34 in Marquette. In Northeast Michigan, tomorrow’s temperatures will be similar to today. Winds out of the south will bring warmer temperatures Thursday.

Low temperatures overnight will cool to about 23 degrees. The most likely period of snow showers will be Wednesday morning, and temperatures will be in the middle to upper 20s. The chance of flurries will drop off in the afternoon, and highs will reach close to 40 degrees. Mostly cloudy skies are expected in the evening with temperatures in the middle to lower 30s.

High temperatures tomorrow will be near 40 degrees. Highs on Thursday will get close to 50 degrees. Strong winds out of the west will blow colder air as of Friday. Highs will be near 40 degrees Friday, and cool to the middle 30s over the weekend.

Snow showers are expected early tomorrow and should end in the early afternoon. Thursday will be warmer, highs will reach about 49 degrees, and evening rain will move through our area. Cloudy and breezy conditions will be in our area Friday with highs near 40 degrees.
