Dry through the weekend; Warming trend continues

High temperatures this afternoon reached the lower to middle 20s. Winds will shift out of the southeast tomorrow and afternoon temperatures will get slightly warmer. Winds out of the southwest over the weekend will bring temperatures above the 40 degree mark.

Low temperatures overnight will cool to the middle teens for most of Northeast Michigan with mostly cloudy skies and light winds. However, temperatures will be slightly milder at the immediate shoreline overnight, lows will be near 20 degrees.

Afternoon highs tomorrow will reach the lower to middle 30s — getting up to about 31 degrees in Atlanta, 32 degrees in Alpena, and 34 degrees in Oscoda. Skies will be mostly cloudy and winds will pick up out of the southeast at 10-15 mph.

High temperatures will climb to the upper 30s on Saturday with a mix of sun and clouds. Afternoon highs will warm to about 41 degrees on Sunday and 43 degrees on Monday. Winds will shift out of the northeast on Tuesday and that wind direction will bring colder temperatures. Highs will be in the upper 30s Christmas Eve, and middle 30s Christmas Day.

High temperatures will get into the lower 30s Friday. Warmer temperatures will move in this weekend with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs will reach the lower 40s Sunday and Monday.
