February starts with quite a bang for the Sunrise Side as temperatures have been dropping all day bringing with it freezing wind chills. The only bright side to this chilly dip, is that the skies have mostly cleared this afternoon. The wind direction from Lake Michigan is the main contributing factor of providing a minimal chance of snow showers for tonight and Friday.
While Friday will likely be dry, the weekend plans to be quite the opposite as a storm system slides in from the west bringing snow showers. The workweek returns to a mostly quiet pattern as high pressure takes charge of the Midwest. Temperatures throughout the extended forecast will continue to be up to 10 degrees below average for early February.
