ALPENA, Mich. — District Health Department No. 4 reminds us to do our part to help reduce the risk of getting or spreading COVID–19 and flu this season.
Health officer Denise Bryan said she has seen COVID–19 numbers increase in schools and communities.
Bryan said by consistently using face coverings, social distancing, hand cleaning, and cooperating with health officials, the spread of COVID–19 slows. Bryan suggests getting your flu vaccine will reduce the chances of becoming infected with both flu and COVID–19 at the same time.
Practicing good hygiene by washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds and using hand sanitizer are also encouraged
