Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs offers veterans opportunities for obtaining licensing in Michigan
ALPENA, Mich —Ahead of Veterans Day, the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs launched an online tool to help military members enter a licensed profession.
The new, interactive web page has information on more than 80 jobs, and is user–friendly for veterans looking to enter each field. The three major categories on the site include occupational professions, health, and skilled trades, highlighting jobs such as pharmacy, cosmetology, and plumbing. Veterans who seek the site for assistance will have access to benefits such as exemption from renewal fees and reimbursement for exam fees, among others.
