Damp and gusty Wednesday; Drier Thursday

An area of low pressure over Wisconsin is moving east — this system has brought rain to our area this afternoon, and periods of rain will continue through tonight. A few breaks in between rounds of showers are possible tomorrow morning, then another round of showers is likely tomorrow midday-afternoon. Cloudy skies extend to the west, reaching the North Dakota-Montana border, so Thursday is looking dry but mostly cloudy.

High temperatures today reached the upper 40s to lower 50s across Northeast Michigan. Blustery winds from the northwest will keep temperatures cool tomorrow.

Low temperatures tonight will cool to the middle 40s. High temperatures will reach near 50 degrees. Winds will pick up to about 15-20 mph, and occasional higher gusts are possible. The chance of showers will drop tomorrow night.

Wind speeds will strengthen around midday tomorrow, and remain blustery through tomorrow evening. Winds should be less gusty Thursday … then become much calmer on Friday.

The greatest chance of showers tomorrow will move through during the midday-afternoon hours, and temperatures will remain cool with highs close to 50 degrees. Mostly cloudy skies are expected on Thursday and high temperatures will reach only the upper 40s. More sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures will move in Friday, high temperatures will get up to the middle 50s. Temperatures will warm to about 60 degrees Saturday, then a few showers are possible late-day.
