Cool with cloudy periods Thursday; Warmer as of Friday

High temperatures today reached the middle 70s for most of Northeast Michigan. Light winds out of the east kept temperatures cooler along the shores of Lake Huron, in some cases reaching only the upper 60s. Although it has been feeling like fall lately, temperatures will warm later this week.

Most of us should see dry weather tomorrow, however some showers currently moving through southwestern Michigan could clip areas closer to Saginaw Bay. There will be a few on/off chances of showers Friday through the weekend, although the majority of those days should be dry.

Partly cloudy skies are expected tonight and low temperatures will cool to the lower 50s. Tomorrow will start with partly cloudy skies, then becoming cloudy midday to afternoon. A few showers are possible, mainly in Iosco and Ogemaw counties. High temperatures will reach the middle 70s with light winds from the east.

After tomorrow, temperatures will reach near-normal values on Friday, reaching the upper 70s later this week. Light winds out of the south will bring warmer temperatures to our area. Over the weekend, high temperatures will warm to the lower 80s on Saturday and get close to the middle 80s on Sunday.

Despite some sunshine early, tomorrow will end up mostly cloudy with high temperatures near 75 degrees. Much of Friday is looking dry, then a few showers are possible Friday evening-overnight. High temperatures Friday afternoon will get close to 78 degrees. Most of Saturday is looking dry, then late-day Saturday into Saturday evening, a few showers are possible. Afternoon temperatures will warm to the 80s this weekend. For the rest of Northeast Michigan’s weather forecast, watch the latest weather video by clicking the weather tab at the top of the page.
