Cool temperatures through the weekend; Remnants of Gordon late Sunday-Monday

Breezes out of the north behind yesterday’s cold front are bringing colder temperatures to our area. High temperatures today reached the upper 60s and lower 70s along with much lower humidity levels. Similar temperatures are expected tomorrow afternoon.

Tropical Depression Gordon is currently over Arkansas. It will continue drifting northward, into the Midwest, spreading disorganized showers. The center of the weakening weather system will arrive in Lower Michigan on Monday. Forecast areas of precipitation and contours of atmospheric pressure are shown below, while the red “L” represents the center of Tropical Depression Gordon.


Tomorrow morning will start with cool temperatures, near 50 degrees. Mostly sunny skies will and high temperatures close to 70 degrees are forecast in the afternoon.

Mainly clear skies will last through tomorrow’s high school football game of the week in Onaway. Temperatures will be in the lower 60s at 7 p.m., then drop to the middle and upper 50s by the end of the game.

For any outdoor plans this weekend, you will want to grab the jacket. Afternoon high temperatures will range between 65 and 70 degrees with plenty of dry weather until Sunday evening.
