Clearing skies Tuesday; Next chance of rain comes Thursday

Some much needed rainfall moved through Northeast Michigan today, one round of light rain fell in the morning, then a second round of showers came in the afternoon. Skies will begin to clear tomorrow leading to more sunshine Wednesday.


High temperatures along the Sunrise Side reached the upper 70s, limited by thick cloud cover all day long. By midweek, afternoon temperatures will warm into the mid-80s.

Tomorrow will start with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the lower 60s in the morning. By the afternoon, high temperatures will reach 80 degrees under clearing skies.

For tomorrow, skies will become partly cloudy by late in the day with a high near 80 degrees. More sunshine and warmer temperatures are expected Wednesday as high temperatures will warm up to 84 degrees. The next chance of showers and thunderstorms will arrive Thursday while warm temperatures continue. Dry weather will return for the end of the week.
