City of Alpena Planning and Development Director moves to Chamber of Commerce

ALPENA, Mich. — A well–known community employee is now changing titles. Adam Poll, Planning and Development Director for the City of Alpena, is transitioning into a new role at the Chamber of Commerce.

Poll will step in as President and CEO at the Chamber since the previous president moved on from the position back in January. Poll says he’s up to the challenge, and his 13 years of experience makes him the man for the job.

“One of my roles as Planning and Development Director is economic development, so over the course of my years here, I’ve learned about a number of different programs that are available through government grants, that kind of thing, that are advantageous, and I think can be of use in this position.

Adam is a native Michigander and has lived and worked in Alpena for six years. His first day at the chamber is March 30.
