Christmas in July for Alpena’s MidMichigan hospital
ALPENA, Mich. — Each year Clark Construction Company challenges their interns with an idea for community day.
this year the company did a toy drive at MidMichigan hospital in Alpena where toys flooded the table in one of the conference rooms.
This was the result of a proposed idea from Dylan Remelt, a lead intern at Clark Construction in Lansing.
Remelt’s idea came about after having conversations with friends and family who work in hospitals.
Remelt said after proposing his idea to Clark Construction, they wanted to donate to each area where they have a presence.
Because of COVID–19, he said they did an Amazon wish list and even coordinated safety precautions with the hospitals to ensure safe delivery.
Due to HIPAAÂ regulations, they were unable to see the reactions from the children but Remelt said giving back is always something he’s enjoyed and just doing it makes him feel good.
Toys of all kinds were delivered to the children last Friday.
