Car purchase beyond the brick and mortar

ALPENA, Mich. — Many brick and mortars have struggled during the pandemic resulting in closure for some.

The car industry has been faced with some of their own challenges but are staying afloat and finding alternative ways to do business.

Since the shutdown, prices of used cars have gone up considerably resulting in manufacturers struggling to keep up with new car inventory.  According to Salesperson, Scott Plowman, of McInerney Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Thunder Bay for this reason they have been very successful with selling used cars.  Plowman also said they have expanded their sales beyond the brick and mortar and he credits the younger generation for that.  Plowman feels internet sales are up due to people spending more time at home and having time to shop.

ISeeCars.com Communication Manager, Julie Blackley, said whether you purchase online or at a brick and mortar, it is best to do your research first.  Blackley said during a time when people want to limit their exposure to others, the internet provides a convenient way to shop.
