Brown Trout Festival’s first annual Three-Day High Stakes Tournament concludes
ALPENA, Mich. — This year, the Michigan Brown Trout Festival had one tournament anglers had not seen before- the Three-Day, High Stakes Tournament.
Fishing for this tournament started Saturday, July 17 at 6 a.m. and concluded Monday, July 19 at 9 p.m. For each category- Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Salmon, Steelhead, and Walleye- there is one winner taking home all of the prize money for that particular category. The winners are as follows:
Brown Trout
- Don Harrison, Brown Bager, 11.70 lbs, $800
Lake Trout
- Scott Ratz, Reel Therapy, 126.4 lbs, $2,200
Salmon
- Josh Campbell, Souper Can, 37.2 lbs., $1,000
Steelhead
- David Brege, The Sandbagger, 52.7 lbs. $1,800
Walleye
- Chris Wade, 65.85 lbs, $1,000
