Brochures available for spring tree purchase

ALPENA, Mich. — Brochures are now available for landowners looking to purchase trees.  The Alpena-Montmorency Conservation District’s annual tree sale began back in January.  This is the time of year where landowners place orders to purchase everything from seedlings to hardwoods, shrubs, fruit trees and more.

District Manager Aprille Williamson said they have a large customer base and that varies from local farmers to hunting camps.

She said they are trying to keep all native species but also incorporating some that are climate adaptable.

Williamson added even though they have a large customer base, they are able to accommodate all orders.

The final deadline to have your order in is March 31, and the pick up day is scheduled for Friday, May 7 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Alpena Warehouse.
