Bright and cool Friday

Temperatures Thursday got up to 79 degrees in Alpena. Cooler temperatures are moving in from the north. Rogers City, Michigan had a high of 76 degrees while Oscoda, Michigan reached 82 degrees. Temperatures will become cooler Friday.

Radar and satellite show mainly clear skies over Northeast Michigan this evening. Clear skies will remain for Friday, it’ll be a bright day. The next storm system is currently affecting the Northern Rockies and northern Plains. It will move east, and bring a chance of thunderstorms to our area Saturday.

Winds out of the north will bring cool temperatures, below normal for the next few days. Highs will reach the lower 70s Friday. Saturday, temperatures will get up to the middle 70s. Then we’ll have lower 70s Sunday. Monday, temperatures will rise to the middle 70s. After that, temperature will get warmer Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the upper 70s.

Friday: Mainly sunny, cooler. Early-morning lows will drop to 53 degrees. Afternoon highs will be near 72 degrees. Evening temperatures will cool to the 60s and upper 50s.

Saturday: Risk of thunderstorms in the morning-afternoon. Early-morning lows will head down to around 53 degrees. Afternoon highs will reach close to 74 degrees. Evening temperatures will go into the 70s.

Sunday: Spotty shower possible midday-afternoon. Early-morning lows will be about 57 degrees. Afternoon highs will get up to around 74 degrees. Evening temperatures will head down into the 60s.
