Black accepts position at Thunder Bay Junior High School
ALPENA, Mich.— Thunder Bay Junior High School will soon welcome a new principal. Meaghan Black has officially accepted the role as principal after serving as assistant principal at the school.
Black is a native of Alpena with a long professional history in the education system. The wife and mother has worked in the Alpena Montmorency Alcona Educational Service District.
She’s served as an educational coordinator and served as the Alpena Public Schools instructional coach. Since then she’s made the transition to the Junior High School where Black has been hands on as interim principal.
Black says, “She wants to help students continue to learn and grow.” A decision to have in person classes for the upcoming school year has not yet been decided.
