Bikers raise money for organ transplant
ALPENA, Mich. — Calling all bikers, the Agent Orange Riders want your help.
Alpena’s VFW post has teamed up with the riders to plan a dice run for next Saturday, May 22. The event will raise money to help an Ossineke woman pay for her life-saving kidney transplant.
Funds come from biker registration, a sloppy joe dinner, and an auction.
Alpena Chapter Vice President David Sigmon explained the bike route.
“We start at the VFW and then we’re gonna run down to Shotmakers and then come back to Mountain Inn. Then, we’re gonna stop at Wagon Wheel and come back to the VFW.”
If you’re not a biker, but still want to help, Sigmon said there are a lot of things you can do. People can donate money, items for the auction, or their time as a volunteer.
