Bay City Western Defeats Alpena 3-2
ALPENA, MI – The Alpena Wildcats were in action on the pitch taking on the Bay City Western Warriors in a back and forth battle.
The Wildcats were coming off a tough 4-0 loss to Traverse City Central so they were hoping to bounce back today.
Picking up in the 2nd half Alpena was down 1-0 and the ball just sneaks past the Warriors keeper and this goal would tie the game for Alpena 1-
Bay City Western would regain the lead with a corner kick headed in by Calvin Watson to put the Warriors up 2-1.
Calvin Watson would later break free from a defender, take a touch and place the ball perfectly in the bottom right corner. The lead grows for Bay City Western 3-1.
Coming down to the wire and the Wildcats would get a crucial free kick opportunity and Jacob Beaubien takes it and puts it in the net but that would be all she wrote for this one. Alpena falls to Bay City Western 2-3, they host Petoskey on Tuesday at 7:00.
