Bay Athletic Club offers virtual workouts for members who can’t attend during coronavirus shut down

ALPENA, Mich. — With Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s executive order having gone into effect today at 3 p.m., Bay Athletic Club is also closing its doors for the next two weeks.

Owner of the fitness center, Trina Gray, said in a statement released on Facebook earlier today, “We are on board to help fight the spread of COVID. We applaud the actions of our state leadership to be proactive.”

If nothing else, Gray is still encouraging everyone to get in their workouts, and she is pleading with community members to take on this stressful time in a healthy way. Starting Monday evening, Bay will offer live, virtual fitness classes Monday through Friday at four convenient times for members. There will also be classes on weekends, and morning uploads for everyone in the community.

If you have questions, you can email lara@bayathletic.com or call Bay Athletic Club and leave a voicemail. You can also send messages to Bay’s Facebook account, which will be monitored regularly during this time.
