Bars and restaurants are back in business

ALPENA, Mich.— Bars and restaurants made their return on Friday for the first time in nearly ten weeks.

Earlier this week, Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed an executive order to allow bars and restaurants in the U.P. and Northern Michigan to open back up. Some bars and restaurants were very hesitant about opening up right away and some were ready to open back up.

Owner of Players Pub & Grub, Ben Young, was ready to open after ten weeks and said, “the public was very supportive with our curbside pickup, but we were ready to go.”
