Author of “American Chillers” and “Michigan Chillers” to visit Rogers City
ROGERS CITY, Mich. — A famous Michigan author is coming to the Rogers City Theater on Wednesday.
Johnathan Rand is a multimillion–selling author, popular for his “Michigan Chillers” and “American Chillers” book series. These books fall under the category of horror–fiction and were first published in 2001.
Director of the Presque Isle District Library, Amber Alexander says Rand mostly writes for a younger audience. “Usually kids. They really enjoy his reading, but at the same time, he’s been around for a while, so a lot of these kids grew up reading his novels,” she said. “So, parents also enjoy being able to bring their kids to share an experience with something they read from their childhood.”
Rand will be at the Rogers City Theater at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21. For $5, attendees can listen to him talk about his books and receive a free “American Chillers” novel signed by Rand himself.
