Atlanta Volleyball Team Wins Nailbiter Against Alcona 3-2

ATLANTA, MI- The Huskies were in action in volleyball where they hosted the Alcona Tigers in a tight one. These two teams would be at each others heels the entire match.

Picking things up in set three and the series is tied up at one a piece. Abbey Laporte gets the great kill at the end of the set and the Huskies grab the lead 2-1 in the series.

Next set and Brianna Jadrych is virtually a brick wall on this play. The Alcona Tigers try two times to get the ball over the net and Brianna shuts it down both times and gets the point for Atlanta. Great defensive work on that play.

However Alcona would continue to make this game uncomfortably close for the Huskies. Sage Gauthier takes the beautiful spike and the tigers are now in position to force this game to a fifth set.

That’s exactly what Alcona ended up doing. Miah Schopfer gets the kill for the Tigers off a Huskies arm and we move to the fifth and final set.

It’s winner take all and Tanaysja Tidwell gets a huge momentum shift with a clutch service ace. Perfectly placed and served and the Huskies are set to win it all.

Olivia McSwain sets it up and Brianna Jadrych spikes it over to the Tigers and Atlanta wins the final set.

It was a close one with both teams fighting hard but Atlanta comes out on top over Alcona 3-2.
