The Aplex was full of art as artist; Erwin Lewandowski hosted a fundraiser to help out the Huron Humane Society.
Saturday, he presented his art inventory that included prints, original drawings, and more.
He was moved to help out the Huron Humane Society after an emotional experience with a cat.
“We had something impact our life, and it happened to be a cat. Pregnant cat that was suffering from malnutrition, and we took care of it for three days. We took it to the humane society and they took care of it and my wife volunteered with the humane society. That cat had to be put to sleep because of all of the complications. All of the kittens died. It’s a heartbreaking story, but it’s heartwarming in the sense that we’re coming together to do something,” Lewandowski said.
50% of every dollar raised was donated to the Huron Humane Society.
If you were unable to make yesterday’s fundraiser but like to purchase some artwork, or make a donation, Erwin says you can contact him on Facebook.
