Another test for the Tigers

HILLMAN, Mich. — Eric Muszynski wants to get his Tigers back to where they belong. For the past several years, Hillman was able to come away with winning records. Some of those winning seasons resulted in district titles. The 2018-2019 season didn’t go as expected for Hillman as they finished with an 8-14 record.

“We have a pretty big learning curve this year, said Muszynski. “We only returned four guys from last year.”

None of those players who are returning this season were able to score in double figures last year. This season, Muszynski is bringing in eight underclassmen which include freshmen and sophomores. He hopes that bringing in young talent can get the Tigers back to their winning ways.

“Most of the North Star League usually returns a lot of good players,” said Muszynski. “We want to try to get better as the season goes on and hopefully make a run towards the end of the season.”

The Tigers first game is on Dec. 9, as they’ll be at Whittemore-Prescott to take on the Cardinals. The opening tip is at 7:30 p.m.
