Another Alpena Power Scam is Sweeping Through the Alpena Area
Alpena- Another Alpena Power scam is flooding through the Alpena area.
The Alpena Power Company has received numerous calls from customers, claiming an employee named “Jason Williams” is telling customers that they have overdue bills and that they will lose their electricity if they do not pay. The customer then gives up their information and gets scammed out of their money. The calls are coming from a (650) area.
Utility officials say that if customers have concerns or questions, they can contact 989-358-4900. Personal information should never be exchanged over the phone.
