Alpena’s Emma Fraser signed to play softball at Alma College

Alpena' s Emma Fraser surrounded by family and coaches on signing day.

Alpena, Mich. — Alpena Wildcat senior Emma Fraser made it official signing her letter of intent to play softball at Alma College. Her goal is to become a Dermatologist one day, which is one of the reasons she chose Alma. She will play under Alma Head Coach Denny Griffin and Assistant Coach Phil Hansen who have led Alma to two MIAA Championships in the past three years.

Before heading off to college Fraser has a big senior year ahead at Alpena. She is three runs away from tying the all-time record of 125 set by Lisa Preuss (2002-04) and ten hits away from tying Christen Sobeck’s record of 162 set back in (1999-01).

So far the future Scot has broke Alpena’s single-season runs, hits, doubles, and batting average records. As a pitcher her record is (21-9). She finished her sophomore season first team BNC pitcher and all-district pitcher, and Fraser ended her junior season first team BNC infielder and all-state third baseman. Expect special things from hard-working Fraser her final season as a Wildcat.
