Alpena’s Clark ready to take soccer talents to Olivet
ALPENA, Mich. — For Alpena senior Mike Clark, soccer is in his blood. Since freshman year, college soccer has been on his mind. Fast forward to now, he turned that dream to reality. Clark signed his National Letter of Intent on Thursday to play soccer at Olivet College.
“This day means a lot to me,” said Clark. “I’ve been working for this for a very long time. Having this opportunity is a great thing.”
The Alpena native played varsity soccer for two seasons under head coach Tim Storch. Two years he’ll always reflect on. Clark tallied 13 goals along with 12 assists. The majority of his goals and assists came from his senior season as he finished with 10 goals and five assists. With those numbers, he was named honorable mention in the Big North Conference.
In the classroom, Clark plans on majoring in Psychology.
