Alpena Weather – June 7, 2018

Temperatures have rebounded into the 70s in Alpena today with mostly sunny skies. At the immediate shoreline, local breezes out of the southeast have kept temperatures in the mid-60s.

Mainly clear skies will continue tomorrow. An area of showers currently moving through Minnesota and Iowa might skirt the area, as the center of the associated storm system passes to the south. There is a low chance of showers early Saturday, but clearing skies will take over with high temperatures close to 70 degrees.

Temperatures tomorrow will be about 10 degrees cooler at the shoreline than inland locations. A weak breeze out of the east will keep temperatures in the upper 60s by the shoreline, while temperatures will warm into the mid-70s inland. Despite some extra cloud cover in the morning, the clouds should break apart and give way to mainly sunny skies in the afternoon.

High temperatures will be near 70 degrees through the weekend. After a low chance of showers early Saturday, expect bright weather through the rest of the weekend. During the upcoming week, high temperatures will warm to the mid-70s around Alpena. A mostly sunny day is in store for Monday, then the next chance of showers will move in Tuesday.
