Alpena Weather – June 1, 2018
Although the calendar has turned to June, the temperatures today have not felt like we are nearing summer. Today’s high was in the mid-60s, but that was in the early-morning. Since then, temperatures have been around the mid-50s in Alpena this afternoon, though it has been several degrees warmer today south of Alpena.
Heading into Saturday, the clouds will clear and make way for mainly sunny skies. High temperatures will be around 66 degrees for both Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, a few showers are possible midday-afternoon.
On the beach and boating outlook, Saturday will have brighter weather, though the water temperatures are a touch chilly. Water temperatures in Lake Huron near Alpena are around the lower 50s, and waves will reach just 1-2 feet over the weekend.
After a chance of showers Sunday midday-afternoon, sunshine will be in full force on Monday, then a few more clouds will build in on Tuesday. High temperatures will be around the 70 degree mark for the start of the upcoming workweek.
