Alpena Rotary Club pledges $50K to proposed new waterfront park
ALPENA, Mich.,—The Alpena Rotary Club pledged $50 thousand dollars to help complete the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Waterfront Park.
At Mondays club meeting, President of the Rotary Club Chuck Sherwin handed Friends of Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary a $50 thousand dollar check to continue their multi–million dollar project.
The funds will be used towards recreational and educational facilities at the waterfront park along the Thunder Bay River. The funds will also include a partnership with Alpena Sailing to provide sailing lesson for students.
