Alpena residents drive through the parade
ALPENA, Mich.– To say Friday night’s drive–thru parade was a success would be an understatement.
Alpena families drove through the county fairgrounds from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. to see a number of floats set up by local organizations. The folks at Clark Construction kept count of the cars that passed by, and said there were over 300 in the first hour alone.
When asked why they were keeping count, manager Craig Froggett said they were planning on making a donation.
An appearance from Santa Claus, who said he had a special delivery of snow for the weekend, capped off the drive.
