Alpena prepares for Memorial Day activities
ALPENA, Mich. — Flags have been placed along the bipath area off of M-32 in preparation for Alpena’s Memorial Day festivities.
The events will begin with a placing of the flowers at the County Courthouse on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Memorial Day Parade. With construction ongoing along the Bagley Street Bridge, the parade will follow a different route this year. They will start at the courthouse, and make their way down the bipath to Little Flanders Field after traveling along Ripley Boulevard, Eleventh Avenue and Ninth Avenue.
The parade will end on Little Flanders Field with a placing of the wreaths. WBKB will be on the scene Monday with updates.
