Alpena, Mich. — Caitlin Borke, an Alpena native, will be performing in a two part concert series this weekend in downtown.

Friday’s concert is free to the community and will consist of opera arias as well as art and spiritual songs. Saturday nights performance is all about cabaret and will have an admission fee accompanied by wine and hors d’oeuvre.

Ticket proceeds and donations go towards Borke’s 6-week-long opera summer program at the American Institute of Musical Studies, in which young, professional musicians receive intensive instruction from some the best instructors and conductors in the field. Caitlin is currently a fourth year student at Western Michigan University, studying music education and German education.

Friday’s performance is free and takes place at the First Congregational Church. Tickets for Saturday’s performance are $20 in advance or $22 at the door. For advanced ticket purchasing information and times, see the flier below!
