Alpena Man Sentenced For Manufacturing Meth

Another Alpena man is headed to prison for manufacturing methamphetamine.

Andrew Brilinski received 60 months to 20 years on Monday, for multiple counts related to operating or maintaining a methamphetamine lab. The 30 year old apologized for his actions prior to sentencing, and asked the court to take into account that this was his first drug conviction.

Circuit court Judge Michael Mack agreed with Brilinski’s assessment, but reminded him that he also has seven prior felonies on his record. Judge Mack minimized the original sentence of 78 months, noting Brilinski’s truthfulness and assistance with the case.

Brilinski was sentenced from two and half to 15 years in prison, in 2011 for a home invasion.
