Alpena Man Reaches Plea Agreement in CSC Case
37-year-old Jeremy Lee Hamann originally faced charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct – victim under the age of 13, accosting a child for immoral purposes, and habitual offender third offense.
In exchange for a no contest plea he was only sentenced on the accosting a child charge – with the jail term capped at 12 months.
Originally Hamann was facing a minimum of 25 years in prison for allegedly assaulting a girl under the age of seven in 2006.
Hamann and his attorney continue to say the sexual assault never happened.
