ALPENA, Mich. — Michigan State Police have arrested an Alpena man who was in the possession of methamphetamine.
On Sep. 6, troopers conducted a traffic stop on M-32 in Green Township for an equipment violation. Inside the vehicle was 21-year-old Christopher Smith. Troopers began a search of the vehicle and found two bags containing a white crystal substance that appeared to be methamphetamine. Smith was then arrested while the other two occupants were released at the scene.
Smith was arraigned on one count of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver. Bond was set at $50,000 and he is scheduled for a probable cause conference Sep. 17.
