ALPENA, Mich — The Alpena County George N. Fletcher Library said it is pausing services to the public on Friday, Sept. 17 at noon in both temporary locations to prepare for the move back into the library building. Patrons may return items to the dropbox at the location at Bear Pointe Plaza until September 28, after which the box will be relocated to the downtown location.
All digital services offered by the library will continue to be accessible for patrons during this period. It is anticipated that the physical process of moving will take approximately two weeks with a period for staff training and orientation to take an additional two weeks. An official reopening date will be announced in the coming weeks.
