ALPENA, Mich. — While riding a four–wheeler on Sunday, Alpena teen Logan McDonald collided with a tree.
She’s currently at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw with a ruptured spleen, shattered elbow, and a collapsed lung.
Family friend Danielle Hart started a GoFundMe page to support the McDonalds’ medical bills almost immediately.
Hart said she couldn’t just stand by and do nothing.
“My daughter is really good friends with her sister. And my daughter is best friends with Logan. And so we just want to do everything we can to help her family and her parents with this.”
Hart said Logan goes into surgery next week.
