Alpena city hall closure through December 9
ALPENA, Mich. — The closure of many government buildings has taken place in response to the recent spike in COVID–19 numbers. Added to the list is Alpena City Hall which will remain closed until December 9.
The utility office is open for services through the drive-thru window only but residential inspections are suspended through December 9.
Payments of taxes, parking tickets, or other items can be placed in the drop box located behind city hall or mailed in.
In an effort to protect workers and property owners, the water and sewer utility will only perform emergency service calls to homes and businesses.
