Alpena celebrates with 4th of July Parade
ALPENA, MICH — From barbecues, to family fun and proud displays of patriotism, one of Alpena’s biggest celebratory acts, the 4th of July parade, kicked off this morning.
People from near and far lined the streets of Alpena to watch the floats and performers march through the city. The parade kicked off at 11 a.m. with excited participants draped in red, white and blue, singing songs and tossing candy to children.
Spectators along the parade route say they’re out to have a good time.
