All Saints runs food drive
ALPENA, Mich.– Students at All Saints Catholic School took part in a food drive Monday.
Normally, All Saints kicks off National Catholic Schools Week with a breakfast at the Knights of Columbus. This year, however, students are kicking it off by donating non–perishable breakfast foods. Kindergarten teacher Amy Peters suggested the drive during a brainstorming session.
“We were just talking about what we were going to do and it was sad we couldn’t have the breakfast. And I said ‘well, if we can’t have breakfast, let’s give ’em breakfast!'”
Students brought in pancake mix, jams, dry milk, and more. Saint Vincent de Paul’s picked up the donations after school.
The school says that anyone who wants to help should bring their donations directly to Saint Vincent.
