Alcona, Posen split rainy double header

Posen, Mich — Alcona and Posen faced off in a North Star League baseball game Thursday afternoon. It was a cold and rainy day for baseball, but the teams played on.
Alcona jumped to a 1-0 first inning lead following three straight hits from Zach Stephenson, Jakob Tanner, and Pierce Bilbey. Josh Kilbourn pitched a complete first game en route to a 5-2 win.
The Vikings were able to rally and bounce back for the second game. They ended up on top 9-2 to split the double header. The games bring Posen to a 4-4 season record, while Alcona moves to 4-7.
Alcona takes the field again at home on Saturday against Atlanta at 4:00pm. Posen hosts Au Gres-Sims on Monday (game one at 4:00pm) for their next double header of the season.
