Alcona County needs residents help with updating area recreation plan
LINCOLN, Mich. – Alcona County is looking for feedback on its recreational improvements.
A survey is asking county residents for their opinions to help with updating the county’s 5 year recreation plan for tourism.
The county must have an approved plan in order to continue receiving Department of Natural Resource funding and grants.
A commissioner in the county explains why it’s important for residents to participate in the survey
“The more people take it, the better it is, this gives the DNR a good overview it gives them the idea of how they use them, what they’re looking for in Alcona County it allows the county to apply for grants,” said Alcona County commissioner of District 1 Dan Gauthier.
Residents looking to take the survey can go to the county’s website or find the link here.
